Challenger comes with three engine choices: a 3.5-liter High-Output SOHC V6, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 Engine and a 6.1-liter SRT HEMI V8. The 3.5-liter High-Output SOHC V6 features a dual-tuned intake manifold that helps bring you 250 lb0ft of torque at 3800 RPM. The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 Engine gives you more power that comes from Variable Cam Timing – 370 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 Engine also gives you more versatility when equipped with the available Multi-Displacement System (MDS). MDS allows the engine to switch from eight cylinders to four in highway traffic or during cruising, creating the perfect balance between power and efficiency. The 6.1-liter SRT HEMI V8 engine packs 425-horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm. It’s the highest naturally aspirated specific-output engine ever offered in a Challenger.

Dodge Challenger has numerous transmission options to choose from. The Four-speed automatic gives you smooth operation and more sophisticated shifts from the fully adaptive electronic control system. The Five-speed automatic with AutoStick upgrades your drive. The true five-gear shift range provides a better balance of performance and fuel economy, not to mention impressive shifts quality, torque management and sheer responsiveness.
